We [Cathy's family and I] just met with the surgeon who performed the mastectomy. Surgery itself went well but cancer was found in 4 or 5 nodes beyond the sentinel node. Lab results will not be known until next week, but the Dr. suspects that this would indicate ~stage 3 cancer. That was a blow, but the Dr. recognizes Cathy's spunk and fighting spirit and expects good results when it's all said & done. We will pray toward that end.

Dear Greg and Cathy,
We, like so many, are following this blog, using it as a guide, and then praying. Thank you for directing us in our prayers. We'll continue to lift up Cathy. May you guys feel the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
Love,

Our family too is praying...already I think of what a beautiful impact Kathy is making and will make on all that work with her. It makes me think of the teaching at women's bible study on Wednesday (which Kathy was at) She said that suffering of a Christian is an encouragement to other Christians when their faith is solid.

Know I am encouraged by Kathy's beautiful faith!!
